The story focuses on the “Diclonius”, a species with horns, pink hair and with the presence of telekinetic invisible arms called “Vectors”. The main character of the series is one of the species and is called Lucy. She was first held in a building were they did experiments on her, but she manages to escape from there. While escaping, she got injured, which causes her to develop a second personality, more childish, known as Nyu. She is then found by Kohta and his cousin Yuka. They take care of her, but they have to be careful because Lucy is researched by a Special Assault Team
Lucy/Nyu: She is the protagonist of the series. She is a Diclonius with a double personality; Lucy, the psychopath, murderous girl, and Nyu, the childish, innocent and cute girl. Lucy is a sadistic and creepy character, she loves Kohta, but due to her past actions, she cannot forgive herself. In the pictures, Lucy at the left and Nyu at the right.
Kohta: The male protagonist. He is a student who lives with his cousin Yuka, and has traumatic memories, which he doesn’t remember. Kouta is really protective towards Nyu and even Lucy, and still loves her even though she can’t forgive her for what she did (!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!) to his sister and father.
Nana: She is a young Silpelit girl. Like Lucy, she has hors, pink eyes and Vectors. She is very sweet, and loves Kurama, calling him papa, because she needs something who keeps her from going insane during the horrible experimentations they do to her.
Yuka: She is Kohta’s cousin. She is deeply in love with him, and often acts with jealousy when she sees him with Nyu. Sometimes really annoying when she is angry with her cousin because of her jealousy, she is kind hearted, and cares a lot about Nyu.
An epic anime. The plot is awesome, and you can’t stop watch it. If you don’t like gore and nudity, we won’t recommend it, but if you do, this show is for you! The opening is absolutely gorgeous (Lilium, performed by Kumiko Noma), and the soundtrack is creepy, but we like it. The animation is great, some scenes are really emotional, so we highly recommend this anime.
